• Pennywise and Face to Face are added to the Envol et Macadam festival lineup

    Thursday July 4th 2013

Quebec City, July 4th, 2013. The organizers of the Envol and Macadam festival are proud to announce that the groups Pennywise and Face to Face have been added to the lineup for the 2013 edition. The festival is presented in collaboration with Tremblay beer and will be held at the l’Îlot Fleurie park beneath the Dufferin-Montmorency highway, as well as in various concert halls throughout the Nouvo St-Roch neighborhood from September 5th to 7th.

Leaders of the punk rock movement are coming to Quebec City.

This year once again, the festival’s audience will delight in an eclectic lineup and a variety of concerts held in a unique urban setting. During the three days of the event, Quebec City’s downtown will move to the rhythm of alternative music. These big names in punk rock join NOFX, Randyet The Flatliners, three groups that the festival announced to its lineup last month.

Pennywiseis an accomplished group that has been on the scene for over 25 years. They are recognized by fans of the genre for their numerous albums and for their style, which is well-rooted in the Californian punk rock sound. Since last autumn, Jim Lindberg, the group’s original singer, has returned to sing alongside his bandmates, and the group continues to bring audiences the punk rock anthems that have marked so many throughout the years.

Another Californian group, Face to Face, has also been added to the festival’s lineup. Since their beginnings in the ‘90s, the group has carved out a place for itself amongst the biggest names in punk rock, thanks to their numerous tours and albums that have been much appreciated by a generation of fans who were thirsty for energetic punk rock rhythms. After a separation that lasted several years, the group reunited in 2008 and released a new album last spring. Now they are back on the stage and will be stopping in Quebec City for one night, giving their fans a real treat.
