  • A huge evening!

    Saturday September 12th 2009

Quebec City, September 12, 2009—Swedish group The Sounds shook the Dufferin-Montmorency highway ramps last night at Festival Envol et Macadam, playing to an audience of hard core fans. Julian "Ju Ju" Marley also got the crowd of some 8,000 festival-goers on their feet and dancing to his reggae beat. A night to remember!

Today, at 1:00 p.m., Parc de l’Îlot Fleurie will offer up a smorgasbord of concerts in a wide variety of musical styles. On the Tremblay stage, Never More Than Less, the GBOB Challenge finale, The Motorleague, Pinky Piglets, Magnetix, and Despised Icon will warm up the crowd for the festival closer by the prolific California group Bad Religion. On the Première Ovation stage, Unfallen, We Love Danger, and the post-hardcore quintet Alexisonfire will perform in turn. Also on September 12, Maniacx and French rapper Sinik will follow an electro set with DJ Jam (Mo Resto Bar) and Piknic ÉlectroniK (Pax Kingz, Le Matos, Poirier Feat Face-t, and Sound Pellegrino).

The same evening, on the Exo stage, the springboard Envole-toi pour la France! presents Taktika, Webster, CEA, and Good Samaritans.

The full program is available at www.envoletmacadam.com.

Tickets on sale on the Billetech network (www.billetech.com) and at the gate during the festival.

Festival Envol et Macadam is presented by Bière Tremblay.
