• The Envol et Macadam Festival is on the move

    Thursday June 19th 2008

Québec City, June 19, 2008—More determined than ever to drive home its leading role in alternative music, the Envol et Macadam Festival has really made a statement with its move below Autoroute Dufferin (Îlot Fleurie). From September 11 to 13, the 13th edition of the Envol et Macadam Festival will be held in a resolutely urban, festive atmosphere.

We would like to thank the borough of Limoilou for welcoming the festival and working with us over the past twelve years. This wonderful neighborhood gave us an opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind event and enjoy some truly unforgettable experiences.

    2008 program
The Envol et Macadam Festival is Québec’s premier alternative musical festival—and for good reason! The full program won’t be officially unveiled until August 7, but in the meantime we invite music lovers to pick up an event pass* for access to all outdoor shows by the likes of Bloc Party, Psy 4 de la Rime, Metric, Anti Flag, Pennywise, and many more!

A special edition for Québec City’s 400th anniversary
The lineup for this very special edition of Envol et Macadam will win over even the most hardened critics with performances by bands from the five nations that shaped our city. Music from First Nations, French, English, and American bands will pay a modern tribute to their place in our history, and the event will build to a climax with the fervently committed poetry of Québec group Loco Locass. Don’t miss out on an unforgettable evening on Saturday, September 13 at Îlot Fleurie.

1 great urban venue, 2 stages, and over 20 outdoor shows for only $15*

*3 day event pass available for $15 before September 1 and $25 thereafter. The 3 day pass is valid for all outdoor shows and entitles the holder to 50% off indoor shows (at the door)!
