  • PLANETROX is a worldwide music competition whose mission is to discover the best new bands and expose them to a wider international audience. In 2012, Envol et Macadam will be expanding its ties to the rest of the world and hitting it with a big bang: alternative bands from 15 different countries will be able to sign up for their PLANETROX auditions and the chance to play at the next Envol et Macadam Festival in Quebec City, Canada.

    The PLANETROX project is an initiative of Envol et Macadam in collaboration with the City of Quebec. The mission of this international undertaking is to discover the best up-and-coming bands in each of the participating countries and to present them to the public at the Envol et Macadam Festival each September. This second year of PLANETROX will involve Canada, the United States, France, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Norway, Ireland, Italy, Czech Republic, Japan, China, Malaysia, Indonesia and South Korea.

    Envol et Macadam is Quebec’s top alternative music festival. It continues to innovate and to develop projects that allow local and international up-and-coming artists the chance to take part in an event that annually attracts over 20,000 music fans, as well as many industry professionals. Its programming appeals to a young and hip crowd; Bad Religion, Mastodon, Sum 41, Pennywise, Karkwa, The Sounds, Metric, Malajube, Raekwon, Bloc Party, Hatebreed, IAM, The Exploited and As I Lay Dying are but a few of the well-known artists that have played and delighted festival goers at Envol et Macadam in past years.

    How does PLANETROX works? Register your band and pick your best song (original compositions only). If you are chosen, send us a video and get people to vote for you!

    Bands may register for PLANETROX online from February 29th to May 11th.

    PLANETROX adalah pertandingan muzik di sedunia untuk mencari band-band baru terbaik dan mengeksposkan mereka kepada pihak antarabangsa yang lebih luas. Pada tahun 2011, Envol et Makadam memperluaskan ikatanya ke seluruh dunia dan membuat terobosan besar: band alternatif dari 15 negara yang berbeza akan boleh mendaftar untuk PLANETROX, ujibakat mereka dan peluang untuk membuat persembahan di music festival  “Envol et Makadam” di Kota Quebec, Kanada. 

    PLANETROX merupakan inisiatif dari Envol et Makadam bekerjasama dengan Kota Quebec. Misi mengadakan ini secara antarabangsa adalah untuk mencari band terbaik dalam setiap negara yang menyertai dan menghadirkan mereka kepada orang orang awam di Festival Envol et Makadam setiap bulan September. Tahun ini buat pertama kali PLANETROX akan melibatkan Kanada, Amerika Syarikat, Perancis, Belgium, Inggeris, Jerman, Morocco, Ireland, Itali, Sepanyol, Jepun, China, Malaysia, Indonesia dan South Korea. 

    Envol et Makadam adalah festival muzik alternatif utama bandar Quebec. Terus berinovasi dan mengembangkannya untuk membolehkan artis tempatan dan antarabangsa berkesempatan untuk mengambil bahagian dalam sebuah acara yang setiap tahunnya menarik lebih dari 20.000 peminat muzik, serta banyak profesional di bidang industri muzik. Diprogramkan khusus untuk golongan muda; Bad Religion, Mastodon, Sum 41, hemat, Karkwa, The Sounds, Metric, Malajube, Raekwon dan Bloc Party adalah diantara beberapa artis terkenal yang pernah terlibat dan memberikan kesenangan kepada penonton festival di Envol et Makadam lalu.

  • PLANETROX is a four-step process / PLANETROX ada empat langkah proses

    PLANETROX IS A FOUR-STEP PROCESS:

    1. How to register ;
      - Email pentasaksi@imsingles.net  & give your band name, contact person & contact details (mobile phone & email address).
      - You will receive an email or a phone call on how to pay the registration fee of Ringgit Malaysia One Hundred per band (RM100) in cash.
      - Paid bands can then register online & upload an MP3 of their original entry song on planetrox.net.  Unpaid bands will be removed & disqualified from the competition.
    2. The 10 semi-finalists will upload a video of their song. An online public voting process will then follow form May 21st to June 4th and 5 finalists will be chosen by the results of this public vote combined 50/50 with the judges’ vote.
    3. The 5 finalists will perform in a live National Finale in their country and an audience vote combined 25/75 with a panel of industry judges vote will decide the winning band.
    4. The winning band from each of the 15 countries will be invited to perform  at one of Canada’s biggest live music events, the Envol et Macadam Festival in Quebec City on September 7th or 8th  2012.

    1.     Setiap band yang menyertai untuk harus upload MP3 satu lagu asli mereka - dan panel  juri industri antarabangsa akan memilih 10 semi-finalis dari negara masing-masing.

    2.    10 semi-finalis yang terpilih di setiap negara akan upload video lagu mereka tersebut. Akan diikuti Sebuah proses voting dan 5 finalis akan dipilih oleh hasil pengundian online awam ini, dan ia akan digabungkan 50-50 dengan undian para Juri '.

    3.    5 finalis di setiap kota akan tampil dalam acara final di negara mereka dan undian penonton 50/50 digabungkan dengan penilaian panel juri akan memutuskan satu band pemenang.

    4.    Band pemenang dari 15 negara akan dijemput untuk tampil di salah satu acara muzik terbesar di Kanada, Envol et Makadam Festival di Quebec City dari 7 - 8 September 2012.
